What does 0.35mm mean, and why does it matter for drafting?

It's simply the diameter of the pencil lead. A lot of drafting-pencil sellers treat 0.3mm and 0.35mm as interchangeable, but that small 0.05mm gap still changes your line weight, and line weight is what keeps a section view crisp instead of turning into a smudge. That's why every lead here gets calliper-checked before it earns the 0.35mm label.

Why doesn't MYAE sell on Amazon?

Mostly trust. Marketplaces mix precision-tool listings across sellers, and counterfeit or mislabeled leads are a real problem in this category, something we've run into ourselves while sourcing. Selling direct means we know exactly what's shipping.

Is MYAE an authorized Rotring or Faber-Castell reseller?

No, and we won't pretend otherwise. MYAE isn't an authorized reseller for Rotring, Faber-Castell, or anyone else we carry. Sourcing is still being tested, one supplier at a time, and we'll update this page once that settles.

What's the difference between the two lead hardnesses you carry?

Two grades, most likely: a harder one for crisp construction lines, a softer one for line work that needs to stay clean without heavy pressure. We'll confirm exact numbers once testing wraps up.
